Welcome to the Emerald Coast Senior Scratch Series 2012 Season

Welcome to a new exciting season for 2012. The Emerald Coast Senior Scratch Series began in 1992 as the first men's senior amateur scratch tour in the nation, playing some of the best courses along the beautiful Gulf Coast.

The goal of the ECSSS is to provide senior golfers (50 and over) a great competitive golf experience on excellent courses for a modest price.  Several changes to the tour for 2012 include the addition of a Legends Division, a 3-day Tour Championship, and some great new courses.  Continued emphasis will be placed on pace of play.

We offer three Divisions:  Open (age 50-59), Super Senior (age 60-69), and the new Legends Division (age 70 and up). The tour averages one tournament a month beginning in late January, and concludes in October with the ECSSS Tour Championship, the Challenge Cup matches with Louisiana and Mobile, and the Match Play Championship for the top point winners in the ten regular season events. Season long excellence is recognized with Players of the Year awards selected from the Open division and Super Senior divisions based on total points accumulated in events over the year.

Additionally, the Florida State Golf Association exempts the top three point leaders at the end of the season and the ECSSS Match Play Champion from FSGA State Senior Amateur qualification requirements.
